Social media is designed to push your buttons so that you latch on all the time. I’ve developed a bad habit, I cannot watch a movie on TV, and leave my phone alone. I continuously pause to pay attention to all the notifications pinging on my phone.
My phone has become my prime focus. I remember a time when a cellphone only received text messages and phone calls… I’m not that old, but back then my phone did not have so much control over me.
If you have a social media addiction, your screen time needs to reduce. Why? Because we’re taking in too much information of which a lot of it is damaging.

The big social media disadvantage is misinformation, fake news, and misleading views. Switch off and Switch on your mind. Are you struggling emotionally… do you have anxiety? Do you feel depressed? Do you spend a lot of time online? Doing something about it! Switch off and Switch on your mind.
No social media weekends gives you 48 hours of downtime, when you have more time to be on social media is the time you need to switch off. Spend time outside. Leave your phone. Buy a phone with no screen, make the swap on weekends and only receive phone calls and text messages. You need a break.
