  • Which mood dominates your mind

We’re not asking you if you’re an extrovert or introvert. That’s too common a question to ask because it doesn’t really describe you.

Here are 3 questions you should ask yourself. On any given day what’s your character like?

1. How’s your daily mood in general?
2. How do you judge yourself as a person?
3. Are you a hopeful, easily agitated, grumpy, soft-spoken, optimistic, kind, rough, or loud individual?

A self audit needs to happen periodically to see where your pitfalls lie and how you can develop yourself

Why it’s important to assess your behavior

People don’t want to be judged. But it’s good to hear it sometimes. We all have different character traits which makes us who we are. But there’s always a but in life. It’s not all traits you possess you should use.

Some of our traits hinder our growth. When you use the wrong ones it can affect your future and success. Here is a question you already have an answer too. Where have you gone wrong and you knew that it was your character which led to that bad event? Meaning, if you had done things differently you wouldn’t regret it today.

When people make bad decisions we generally downplay our bad behavior, and convince ourselves that tomorrow we will do better. But tomorrow comes and it’s the old you who continues to damage your reputation.

Why it’s important to build your character

While bad behavior is common. Taming and controlling yourself is important. I say this because you’re not always right. You cannot have the final say in all conversations. Don’t fight. Think before you respond. Acknowledge others. Be kind. Speak when it’s your turn, and learn to understand when it’s your turn to speak. Don’t judge. Be honest but not too honest. Always think about tomorrow and how you want it to be if you use the correct mood today.

When you develop your character it becomes easy to ask for opinions, listen to them, digest them, and use them. Even bad opinions can strengthen your character. One fact is that opinions can be helpful when you’re levelheaded. You won’t be affected by gaslighting and it empowers your self-confidence. So it doesn’t hurt to be well informed from all angles. You are better equipped to manage different situations when you use your mind as a tool.

  • Which mood dominates your mind

Train yourself to be in control. Don’t allow moods to run your day. A calm person gets results in any situation. You come out with something rather than losing everything when you have no self control. Are you a hopeful, easily agitated, grumpy, optimistic, kind, rough, soft-spoken, or loud individual? Know who you are and develop yourself. Your future depends on your today so don’t pull yourself 10 years backwards instead of growing. The result of burning bridges as you slide backwards because of your bad character can be dangerous when you try and rebuild it.

No one likes a bad character or bully. People don’t forget easily.

Conclusion

Think before you act. Mediate before you go to a place which triggers you. We all have places or people who press the wrong buttons in our heart so meditation, and telling yourself to be cool helps. Start today to better your future. Develop your character and choose the correct mood to be consistent with in your life
