Why it’s not worth it

Good principles are important for guiding our actions and decisions. They serve as a moral compass, helping us navigate through life’s complexities. Living by these principles allows us to stay true to ourselves, even when faced with opposition or criticism. It’s essential to remember that we cannot please everyone, and that’s perfectly fine.
By upholding standards that align with our values and benefit our well-being, we cultivate a sense of integrity and authenticity. While some individuals may choose to distance themselves because of our principles, it’s a natural part of life’s journey. Embracing this process can lead us to like-minded individuals who share similar values and understand the significance of abiding by good principles. Through these connections, we find a supportive and nurturing community that reinforces the importance of living according to our principles.
Are you a people pleaser… even at your own expense? Do you go above and beyond even in areas which can function without your involvement? Are you spending money to please others? Do you go all out and live beyond your means just to make people happy? Don’t live your life on the edge… it’s not worth it.
Why you shouldn’t live your life on the edge
We do not know how long we have to live, and this uncertainty can sometimes lead us to feel like we need to rush through life, trying to experience everything at once. However, it’s important to remember that taking the time to reflect on our actions and decisions can lead to more fulfilling experiences. In today’s fast-paced world, information is constantly being shared at an incredible speed. From social media updates to breaking news, we’re bombarded with a constant stream of information that can influence our desire to live in the moment. While it’s important to seize the opportunities life presents, it’s also crucial not to get caught up in the whirlwind and lose sight of what truly matters to us.
P.S. A controlled life is not boring. Don’t do drugs because it’s what cool people do. Don’t indulge in bad things (you know them) because it’s not worth it. At different stages in our lives we all face times when the YOLO lifestyle tries to manipulate you. It’s not worth it. Don’t look back at beat yourself up for doing things which harm your life knowing you could’ve prevented it.
Conclusion
Knowing right from wrong and carrying only leads to regret. Have principles. Saying no is a powerful tool in your arsenal. Saying no to yourself is the right thing to do because it will give your life longevity, prosperity, and peace. Don’t follow the crowd… you may enjoy it for a season, and you may fall down a deep hole.
