Learn to Respond, Not React — The EQ Gamechanger
For the past two weeks, my life has felt like hell on earth. I’ve been pounded from all sides by bad emotional challenges trying to break my resolve. But I stood my ground, and it’s because of emotional resilience that I’m able to write this message as a lesson learned. I want to share this message with you: Master Your Mood Before It Masters Your Next Day.
Reasons why Your Emotions Aren’t the Problem — Avoiding Them Is
For the past two weeks, my life has felt like hell on earth. I’ve been pounded from all angles. Bad news coming from the left side while outrageous demands coming from the right. I’ve had financial requests and debt notifications coming from all over the place, and I don’t owe people. It’s household stuff I have budgeted for, but for some reason, they all want it now. So, it’s been a tough couple of days, and my emotional well-being has been my armor and comforter. As I write this message today because I was reluctant to share a motivational message this week. My mind was trying to tell me to give up. I didn’t feel the motivation to do anything because I felt like the world was against me.
Instead of allowing negativity to move in. I chose to dictate how I feel and maintain my planned well-being strategy of remaining cool and calm in all situations. Your emotions aren’t the problem — Avoiding them is. Instead of falling prey to negativity, I manage to control my mood. Even though I’m feeling demoralized, I’ll maintain my daily routine and make sure I publish one motivational message a week. And even though the world is trying me… I’ll maintain my emotional well-being and carry on with my day. Remember, don’t allow your emotions to control you because it’s you who controls them.
This Is How Emotionally Strong People Face Conflict
Say that in the last two weeks I gave into my worries, how would today have turned out? For the past two weeks, I’ve been defending myself from outside forces, and if I crumbled, this message would’ve never been published. You do not proclaim alone that you’re strong, but it’s your actions that prove it. When you tell yourself that outside influences will not shake me… they will not. Your emotions aren’t the problem… avoiding them is.
Master Your Mood Before It Masters Your Next Day
What you go through today is banked inside of you. Bad days linger in your heart, and they remind you when you face new challenges. They come back and remind you that you nearly failed the last time, and this time is the day you break down. But listen to the other banked good emotions that too flourish in your heart. Remember that last time you overcame a challenge, and today is like that time, and you will come out of it stronger. When a bad incident occurs in your life, day one is the worst. 10 months from now, that day, which was once a day one, does not feel the same. It’s your enlightened heart that proves how developed you are. Manage your emotional intelligence, and you, too, will manage to withstand bad periods in your life.
Conclusion
Master your mood before it masters your next day. If you’re having a bad day, it’s okay to feel the different emotions that come with it. It’s okay to cry and sulk. But don’t allow those emotions to affect the next day. Fight back by acknowledging your emotional intelligence and understand that you choose how to react when things don’t go your way. You must find a way either by asking for help or by fixing the issue. Your mental resilience is the foundation, and building on top of it guarantees self-confidence and willpower. And that’s today’s message. Remember to donate using this link.
