Why life lessons, also called stepping stones, are important tools.

Why life lessons, also called stepping stones, are important tools.

I’m going to share a story about how I came to realize that too much information on how to live your life can hurt you. In the end, in order to love myself better, I had to water down my motivational tools. Why? Because everyone has a plan about what you must do in order to live a successful life, but in the end, it’s you who must choose your path to happiness. In this message, I’m going to explain why my life sucked and how I fixed it?

It took me a long time to understand that you don’t have to follow everyone’s advice. As shocking as this may be, you don’t have to follow everyone’s advice on how to love yourself better. In fact, I tried everyone’s advice to live a better life, and it nearly destroyed me. I was pulled from all directions, and I constantly heard words like, “Do this, Clive, if you want to be happy.” Don’t do this, Clive, because it doesn’t work. Yes, Clive! That’s the only way… or no Clive! Who gave you that bad advice? And to be honest, maneuvering myself and my mind while trying to grow was a total mess.

It got so bad that at one time, I stopped interacting with my friends because I thought I wouldn’t change if I hung around them. It’s only now that I realize that it’s your self-confidence and willpower that protects you from choosing to do bad things. Empathy helps you understand that the world doesn’t operate like you, but you can choose how to operate around it.

Why stepping stones are important tools in your life

We meet today through this message. Before today, your life’s journey was on a different trajectory. But my message will affect your path regardless, and I hope that it enlightens you. Before today, this stepping stone was in the future, which has now arrived. You’re reading this message because you want to understand why my life sucked and how I fixed it?

I fixed my life by being honest with myself. Why? For a very long time, my honest assessment about myself was something I didn’t want to query. It confused me because I’d questioned why I used to drink and why I watched a lot of dirty movies? I sought out help, but throughout all the interventions, I failed because I didn’t work on my inner peace. It’s only after I sat myself down and I asked myself embarrassing questions that’s when I found inner peace. Remember that advice is everywhere, but when your heart is clouded, it doesn’t work.

Conclusion

Why did my life suck, and how did I fix it? I fixed my life by being honest with myself. Why? For a very long time, my view about myself was something I didn’t want to challenge. My advice to you is don’t do too many things, or you’ll lose yourself in the journey. Alcoholics Anonymous has a slogan that says, “Take it one day at a time.” For a very long time, I wanted to be 10 steps ahead, but believing and loving yourself regardless of how you feel and what you’re going through is the main step to victory. Once you appreciate your life and its potential, you can overcome anything. And that’s the key
