How men can deal with personal issues and overcome emotional problems.

As a man, growing up, I kept all my secrets private. Real secrets I’d never share no matter how close you were to me. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way why asking for help enables you to deal with your problems. I crashed and burned many times when I could’ve found solutions. Success came when I finally asked for help, which changed my life, and opened my eyes to solutions available for all of us. In this message, I’ll share why counseling is good for boys, guys, and men because we all need support to deal with our issues.

Why it’s important to come out of your shell as a guy.

Ernest Hemingway once said: “In our darkest moments, we don’t need solutions or advice. What we yearn for is simply human connection—a quiet presence, a gentle touch.” Did you know that counseling is not all about talking? Personally, when I got to interact with like-minded people who had issues just like me, it was liberating. Most of the time, we think that our problems are unique, and it’s only you who’s going through it. But Ernest Hemingway’s quote is over 60 years old… meaning people had problems back then just like you today.

In our time, we live in a society that listens better than 60 years ago. You don’t have to keep quiet. You can ask for help that benefits your life. I’ll give you some advice, don’t die inside while pretending to be happy on the outside. It’s easy for me to share my past because I know that helping you develop is my passion as a motivational writer. I’ve gone through uncharted emotional territories that have devastating outcomes if your mental strength is weak. I’m grateful because most of them I was lucky to have people around me who noticed my issues while I was trying to be secretive, who helped me.

Most guys have learned to keep quiet and pretend to be okay. This is not good. You need to find help and work on your emotions like everybody around you or your life will not grow.
