Why it’s easy to sway or trigger people who lack self-confidence

I can not lie and say that I don’t get triggered because as a motivational writer, not all readers find joy in my work. But if I was easy to trigger, I’d shout at people for having an opinion. As a writer, if I was easy to sway, it means writing can not be my profession. Whatever job you’re in, you get tested all the time; and if you’re going to trust yourself, you need to have a strong backbone.
How long did it take me to trust my heart and intuition?
A few years ago, anxiety prevented me from publishing. I’d question how my friends and family will react to my writing? And if I was wasting my time because people would not read it. It took time, but sharing, regardless of anxiety, helped. In the beginning, my writing lacked emotional intelligence, but the joy I got from sharing motivation helped.
The key to trusting yourself is to just do it. Your heart and mind may not be in agreement, and that’s okay. It just means anxiety is using one against the other, but when you do it anyway, they inevitably align.
In the beginning, my messages weren’t great, and I can see how much I’ve developed when I visit my old posts. What makes me happy is that I chose to share it. At the time, it was a scary experience, but when my heart and mind aligned, that’s when my self-confidence developed.
You’ll never be good from day one. Take the Olympians who work hard to compete for gold, but it takes four years for the Olympics to happen. You don’t wait for the start of the Olympics to compete. Rather, when the day comes, winning gold is already yours because for four years you’ve proved it. This is how you develop yourself. In order to deflect triggers, you don’t wait for the trigger to happen before you react, but you prove it starting today.
- How do you follow your heart and intuition
Why is following your heart and intuition possible?
If I had a weak mindset, you wouldn’t have read this message. I would’ve quit a long time ago because outside influences found no defenses in my body. Your intuition is a defense mechanism that warns you when someone is trying to push your buttons. You can deflect it by understanding how to manage the attacks. Personally, I find opinions helpful. I manage them by using both good and bad ones to grow; and I deflect the really bad one’s which are posted to hurt me.
Your mind is your greatest tool when you use it, and I mean when you really use it, you achieve amazing results.
Conclusion
Learning how to follow your heart and intuition helps you live a balanced lifestyle. It helps you understand what triggers you and how to deflect it. Get the balance right, and you’ll develop protection from outside forces trying to derail your life.
