Do you frequently check your Rolodex for bad emotions to reuse?

How many emotions are in your Rolodex

What is a Rolodex? A Rolodex is a tool used to hold contact numbers for clients and friends. Before we used cellular phones to store our contact numbers. A Rolodex was a quick way to access them.

See your emotional storage place in your body as a Rolodex

An Emotional Rolodex is a place where you store old pain, new pain, and future pain you’ve heard about. And you store it expectantly waiting to pull it out when the bad emotion rears its head. But the disadvantages of storing future pain you haven’t experienced is that what you manifest will come to life. Which manipulates your behavior giving you a negative outlook in life. For example, when people say, “What’s the point? So and so failed so I’m just waiting for my failure to happen.”

This is future pain you haven’t gone through but you’re using someone’s example of a bad experience by manifesting it today in your life before it ever happens to you. You already give up whereas you must motivate yourself to not be like the other person.

Why it’s important to let go of pain

Don’t hold onto old pain. Don’t flip your rolodex intentionally looking for old pain to reuse in your life. For whatever reason. Matching it with new pain to make yourself feel bad. Why? Because some people live in the past. You cannot have a good conversation with them because they always bring up old things you did in the past of which you’re not proud of.

It’s important to stop reliving bad emotions which cause anxiety. If something hurt you in the past, leave it alone. Move forward and remove it from your rolodex. A rolodex is designed for you to easily update or remove old contacts you no longer need. Do the same with your emotions. Get rid of them if they serve no purpose.

How many emotions are in your Rolodex

Your emotional rolodex needs periodic cleaning. Good memories you store. Bad emotions you discard. Looking towards the future, with an open mind, builds character and wisdom. Your old emotions mustn’t manipulate today’s emotions. The past is the past. Move on. Do this and you’ll have a better outlook in life. I have removed a lot of bad emotions from my rolodex. Some emotions find their way back into my contacts but that’s okay. It’s part of life so I develop myself until I free myself from those old emotions.

You can do anything you set your mind to. If you want to be free. Work on your emotions. Learn what triggers you and what makes you happy. Discard the triggers by investing in good emotions in your life. Read books. Go out if it makes you happy. Work on your emotions in order to offset the weighing down of your emotions due to bad experiences in the past.

Conclusion

You don’t have to be depressed all the time. This comes from storing old emotions which torment you so discard them. Get rid of them and you’ll be fine. It’s that simple. Look to the future with a hopeful heart. Manifest happiness and it will happen.
