Emotional intelligence is one of the topics that interests me. I recently bought a book by Daniel Goleman and started reading it. Today I want to share some comments about emotional intelligence.
The title of the book is ‘Emotional Intelligence’ and it is over 500 pages long (I have my copy in Polish). Already on the cover of the book we can read that “Success in life depends not only on the intellect, but on the ability to manage emotions”. So emotions need to be managed in order to serve us well, in order to skilfully use them on the way to success of one kind or another.
I think everyone would like to be intelligent and have a high IQ and additionally be emotionally intelligent. On the path of personal development, it’s worth looking at your own emotional intelligence, it’s worth working on developing that intelligence. Let me give you a quote from the cover of my book: ‘Emotional intelligence is not an innate trait. This book indicates when and by what methods it can be shaped in children to ensure that they make the most appropriate use of their innate abilities in achieving success in life.”
Very insightful
