If you don’t give up you will achieve success after waiting a long time for it.

The formula to success is as easy as, one plus one, equals two. If you’re like me, success took a long time to arrive. It took me having to work hard for many years. And I mean years, to achieve any kind of success. Before my current level of success… the backbone when I can honestly say I jumped over to the other side, happened sometime ago.
When I finally woke up one day and realized how hard I had worked, and how long it took for me to see positive results. Speaking about it now seems elementary. When a person tells you that it took about 10 years for them to succeed. And though to someone else 10 years may seem long, but living through it felt like an eternity.
10 years doesn’t pass by. You don’t glide through it without picking up a few bruises and heartache along the way. Chasing success can destroy you. Chasing something you desire, and has the potential to fail, can destroy you if it fails. Success is the ultimate game. Going to school, and pursuing a career is good. But if it wasn’t for my slow learning challenges growing up, I’d probably would’ve done better in school. Giving me better resources to pursue my dreams.
Why does success take a long time to come?
Pursuing something you love takes courage. Especially when your environment doesn’t understand what it is you’re trying to accomplish. As it was for Bill Gates with Microsoft. Elon Musk with Tesla Motors. Oprah Winfrey with the Oprah Winfrey Show. Jeff Bezos with Amazon. When you pursue a dream. Don’t be discouraged when people don’t believe in you. It will make sense later on when the same people who had doubts begin to praise you.
The whole point of success is doing something you want to do regardless of what people think. Down the road they will see it and understand. And as long as you see the finish line, go for it. No matter how long it takes, go for it. One day you’ll get to tell your story, and give people a vivid picture of how long it took for you to achieve success. At that point, telling someone that it took 10 years to achieve success may sound long, but living through it felt like an eternity.
Why do I say… If you don’t give up, you’ll achieve success after waiting a long time for it? It’s because, one plus one, equals two. Work hard. Do what you love. Never give up is the verbal equation of one plus one equals two. It’s up to you to give up in the middle, before you get to the next level. If I were you, you might as well complete the process because you’ve put a lot of time and energy, it makes no sense to stop until you’re on the other side. The side where you can look back and count the number of times you wanted to quit. Count the number of times you did and realigned yourself.
Why does success take a long time to come?
Nothing comes easy. I watched a movie where one guy told a rich man. You’re lucky to have succeeded so easily… and the rich man’s response was calculated, and he simply replied: No… it was never easy. And I understood what he meant. To the cry baby. What he saw as the rewards of success overshadowed how hard it was for the rich man to get to that specific moment in time, to be told that success is easy.
Success is not easy… the rewards make it look easy when successful people paint a picture of their hard-earned journey. But success takes time. It takes courage and self-belief. Without emotional intelligence you will fail. Forget that you’ll overcome obstacles if your heart and mind are not aligned. The mind needs a heart which has empathy. It must have understanding to withstand challenges which the mind will face. The world is a hard place… you need to be ready to take on any challenge which comes your way.
Conclusion
Don’t be scared if you find yourself having to fight for success. Because success rewards those who put in the work. As long as you work hard. Do what you love… and you never give up. Tomorrow you will wake up and look back and realize, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times, all in one.
