A person’s physical health is easy to see but mental health is not the case. But surely those mental and physical health are intertwined. When one of them is disrupted, the other is distracted. The characteristics of a person with a healthy mentality exist as follows:

  1. Not judging yourself

People who suffer from mental illness, those who suffer from depression and anxiety, usually feel they can heal themselves easily, which is why they always judge themselves for suffering from mental illness.

But if someone has a healthy mentality, they value themselves more. He is fair to himself and those around him.

  1. Not having negative emotions

A mentally healthy person is able to control his emotions well. Facing these negative emotions is not easy, but it is already part of everyday life. Thus, if we do not have a healthy mental state, we find it more difficult to control our emotions and overcome the suffering we feel when faced with unpleasant situations.

  1. Do not experience insomnia problems

When a person is mentally unhealthy, he will have trouble sleeping. Though sleep is very important in every individual. Sleep can increase lifespan by up to 11 years. The amount of sleep required by each individual is different. But most individuals need 6 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to be able to work optimally.
If someone has trouble sleeping, then it will have a negative side effect on his body. Among the side effects of sleep deprivation are body discomfort, difficulty focusing on work, weak immune system, even depression which are all characteristics and consequences of mental illness.

  1. Able to focus well

A healthy mental state enables the individual to concentrate on what he is doing. Without a healthy mentality, an individual cannot focus on a job that requires concentration and peace of mind.

  1. Have good social relationships with others.

People who have a healthy mentality are generally adaptable or have good relationships with people around them, such as with the closest family, work partners, neighbors, and society in general.

While people who have mental illness will have problems in social relationships because they are unable to control their own feelings. He is always worried about what others think of him, always selfish and thinks others are all wrong, difficult to admit his own mistakes and easily has feelings of hatred and resentment.

This mental illness makes him always have a bad relationship with the people around him. To solve this problem, he must first cure his mental illness.

  1. A mentally healthy person does not have troubling symptoms such as:
    Fatigue
    Spine, chest pain
    Fast heart rate
    Dry mouth
    Digestive problems
    Headache
    Perspire
    Drastic changes in body weight
    Head reel
    Drastic changes in sleep patterns
  2. A mentally healthy person has no symptoms of depression, that is, does not have:
    Feelings of sadness or upset
    Feeling confused or lost
Feelings of apathy or loss of interest
Anxiety and excessive anger/ violence/ hatred
    Fearful/paranoid feelings
Difficulty in dealing with perceived emotions
    Difficulty concentrating
    Difficulty in handling responsibilities

Ideas that are strange or far from reality
