Understanding Emotional Intelligence in Real Life

This post explores an emotional intelligence concept and how it shows up in real life. In work, relationships, social situations, wellbeing, and personal growth. Emotional intelligence helps people understand what they feel, manage reactions, build healthier connections, and move through life with more awareness and balance.

Our life is like a book. The front cover is the time we were born, and the back cover is the time we died. Each page in it is a day in our lives.

There are thick books, there are thin books. There are books that are interesting to read, some that are not at all. Once writing will never stop until it is finished. Miraculously, no matter how bad the previous page is, there is always the next page that is pure white, new and flawless.

Just like our lives, no matter how bad yesterday was, God always provides a new day for us. We are always given new opportunities to do something right in our lives every day, correct our mistakes and continue the storyline He has set for each of us

Then it is worth giving this hand of ours trained and guided by the Great Author -our Creator, how we should fill this book of our lives well. Let Him co-write our book.

Honestly, we sometimes write wrong, our books seem bad too. But fear not, there is the blood of Christ as its “eraser”. No matter how concentrated your sin is, He can whitewash.

Even if sometimes our books get wet “in the rain” because of trouble, our hearts are sad and our tears are shed… Don’t worry, there is His Holy Spirit who can comfort us.

It could be that our beloved book is “torn up” by the actions of irresponsible people. Our hearts are wounded by slander, being treated unfairly and discriminated against. But His love was able to glue it whole again, beyond the greatness of glue.

So, don’t be afraid of being wrong, don’t be afraid of getting wet because of problems, and don’t be afraid of someone tearing up our books. Just keep writing your book as long as life lasts. His love remains the same, past, present and forever; and the power of His love is able to restore and renew it. May every day we become a new sheet that is better than before.
