Emotional intelligence versus two brains.

In Daniel Goleman’s book ‘Emotional Intelligence’ you can read the following passage (page 75 of my copy in Polish, Media Rodzina publishing house): “For in a sense we have two brains, two minds and two different kinds of intelligence: rational and emotional. Both determine how we succeed in life; it is not only the intelligence quotient that matters, but also emotional intelligence.”

It is worth reading the book by D. Goleman to learn about what is important in the field of emotional intelligence. The author cites research findings that indicate that rational intelligence is only part of our intelligence and does not in itself ensure success in life (this has been proven in studies). I will also give a short quote from the book described (page 75): “(…) the intellect cannot use its full potential without emotional intelligence”.

So let’s use both our brains: the emotional and the rational, only their cooperation ensures real and permanent success in life.
